February 28th, 2018

One of the best things about 21 st century bridal jewellery design is that tastes have changed enough that top jewellery industry designers are including colour in a wide selection of wedding bands.

Here at GMG Jewellers, we're proud to offer a dazzling selection of wedding bands for both men and women that take advantage of extraordinary metals and unique stones that either separate or combined create a sensational coloured piece to match tastes to a tee!

Claude Thibaudeau

It's only proper that we start by taking a look at the wedding bands from the workshop of Claude Thibaudeau, the brilliant Montreal-based designer. One of the reasons we love the pieces from Claude Thibaudeau is because of the sheer, joyful inventiveness that the designer packs into every article of jewelry that bears his name.

The Black Hevea (PLT-1663-F) constructed out of shining platinum, features not only two black inner bands that create a unique contrast against the precious metal. The three princess-cut yellow diamonds, whose brightness adds to the overall look of the wedding band, add an pop of colour against the black bands making this piece really stand out.

If you're looking for a pure palette of colour, don't overlook the (PLT-1930-BVR). This wedding band features dozens of white diamonds sparkling with inner fire. The combination of 18-karat pink and white gold is stunning, and the addition of Claude Thibaudeau's unique 18-karat green gold is just the pièce de résistance for this eternity band.

Henri Daussi

The women's jewellery of Henri Daussi is always delicate and feminine, and that blushing subtlety is merely the silk veil over a lustrous, eye-catching charm. The Henri Daussi wedding bands we selected today are the perfect combination of colourful stones and dazzling metals.

Model R1-11 E is built with prongs of black rhodium overlaying 18-karat white gold, showcasing the tight pave setting of 0.30 carat of brown diamonds. The champagne-coloured elegance of this band can't be surpassed.

Lashbrook

Men certainly don't have to feel left out of the trend towards colourful wedding bands! Lashbrook, the technologically innovative U.S. designer regularly wows grooms-to-be with their novel men's wedding bands.

One of the most outstanding colourful bands by Lashbrook comes from Elysium collection, which features bands constructed from crushed black diamond. At GMG Jewellers, we have a particular fondness for the E8BDIA MATTE men's wedding band. This band stand out with its cool, matte "glow," and the way the ring seems to drink in light. Moreover, the single yellow diamond burnished in the band glows like a torch in the blackness surrounding it, its fire and yellowness accentuated by the crushed diamond.

The above band from Lashbrook's Titanium collection is made from the light and durable metal, making it an ideal men's wedding band for the groom who works with his hands. The eye-catching addition of grooved copper spinners to the band makes the whole wedding band pop with a level of russet red that can only be matched by rose gold.
